Russell D. Karpook was born in 1947 here in Baltimore, Maryland

He attended undergraduate school at the University of Maryland, College Park, graduating with a B.A. in 1969. He then attended law School, at the University of Maryland, where he was Chairman of the Moot Court Board and graduated with honors with a J.D. in 1972.

Russell Karpook has been practicing law for 44 years as an associate and partner in law firms in Towson and Baltimore, Maryland, before joining the firm of Bouland & Brush, LLC of counsel, in 2017.  

He is admitted to practice in Maryland, the U.S. District Court for Maryland; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. The majority of his practice involves litigation, including toxic tort, complex commercial, civil litigation and insurance defense work. He also handles serious plaintiff, personal injury claims. The remainder of his practice is in the Real Estate area of law involving residential development.

He has represented Sandler Systems, Inc.; The Babcock & Wilcox Company, Keene Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Dealership; Berkshire Hathaway Home Sale; Day Development Co.; Beazer Homes, Corp.
